What can you imagine for your forest preschool?
We need your ideas!
The Eastern Region Association of Forest and Nature Schools (ERAFANS), in partnership with Glen Meadows Retirement Community, seeks your input on a site Master Plan for Notchcliff Nature Programs.
The Master Plan design will aim to represent a site that is wild and beautiful, accounting for existing features and previously constructed use zones, such as the Prayer Labyrinth, Forest Preschool, Campfire Ring, Pollinator Garden, and trails. It will propose improvements that are inviting to visitors, including Glen Meadows residents and families, that are accessible as much as possible, and that add value to this shared property, including an access path for a mobile classroom unit. The design will consider existing tree stands and forested areas, site microclimates, hydrology, topography, and ecology, respecting and reflecting the nature and beauty of the context.
Your ideas regarding functional use of these spaces and aesthetic preferences will be invaluable to the design process that will influence the property.
